Willow Creek Community Church invites the community to its 13th annual DadFest at the church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington.
Activities will get underway at 5:30 p.m. June 17 and 11:30 a.m. June 18.
The event will feature a fireworks display, food, live entertainment, a scavenger hunt for kids, and a chance to break the Guinness World Records title for largest game of catch.
Special guests include renowned leadership expert John Maxwell and Chicago Cubs chairman and owner Tom Ricketts.
Maxwell will speak during Saturday’s services.
Ricketts will take part in a question-and-answer session with Willow Creek teaching Pastor Steve Carter during Sunday services.
On both days, food options will include Chick-fil-A, Portillo’s and Moretti’s, a variety of food trucks, and Harvest Gourmet sausages cooked on the outdoor grill.
A car show will feature 30 new high-end performance vehicles, including Porsche, BMW, Mercedes and Lincoln, in the parking lot after each service.
Rock cover band Mike and Joe will perform at 7 p.m. June 17.
The performance will be followed by a fireworks display with synchronized music.
Cover band Maggie Speaks will take the stage from 12:30 to 2 p.m. June 18.
Willow Creek Community Church, in its 41st year, is a nondenominational Christian church with weekly attendance of more than 25,000.
The main campus is at 67 E. Algonquin Road in South Barrington.
